Additional Information: This combined Level 1 & 2 Workshop is an excellent starting point for learning Makaton. Sessions will run from 9.30am-4pm on Fridays 21st & 28th January 2022 at the Glasgow Training Rooms.

Level 1 training provides a practical introduction to Makaton including commonly asked questions, hints & tips for effective signing & symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations. Level 2 adds more sign & symbol vocabulary with emphasis on building technique & understanding. You will learn Stages 1-4 & the Additional Stage of the Core Vocabulary – more than half of the Makaton Core Vocabulary!

Attendees sit classroom style separately to permit social distancing. The room has window ventilation & participants will be asked to observe social distancing measures as appropriate.

My aim is to leave you feeling informed, inspired & confident with your Makaton and on the road to starting some new conversations!
