Additional Information: Hello, I am a Makaton Tutor with nine years of experience working in Speech and Language Therapy. I use Makaton on a daily basis and highly recommend it to support communication.

Level 2 training builds on the knowledge from Level 1. Completion of Level 1 is a prerequisite for Level 2.

Level 2 training includes:
The use of concept signs, symbols and speech from Stages 3 and 4 of the Core Vocabulary;
Additional vocabulary;
Makaton techniques for directionality, placement and movement;
Pragmatic and practical uses of Makaton.

You will consolidate on prior learning symbols and how to personalise the vocabulary to meet the needs of the individuals in your family or workplace.

You will receive an official Makaton participants' manual, which includes Makaton symbols and signs to consolidate your learning in the training.

You will receive a certificate on completion that is required for further progress in your Makaton training.
