Exhibitions and events

We attend exhibitions and conferences so that we can meet people who use Makaton and also those who want to learn more about The Makaton Charity and using Makaton themselves either at home or at work.

Here are just some of the events we are planning to attend:

Communication Matters Roadshows

The Communication Matters roadshows are a valuable opportunity to learn more about Augmentative and Alternative Communication. A number of the UK’s leading suppliers of adaptive devices, voice output communication aids and signing systems will be there to offer advice and information. These roadshows are being held throughout the year in the UK.

The Makaton Charity will be exhibiting on the following dates:

Communication Matters Symposium

26th-28th September: Leicester

The Communication Matters National Symposium is the UK’s leading annual AAC event embracing a wide range of presentations relating to Augmentative and Alternative Communication.

TES Special Needs

15th-16th October 2010: London

This large exhibition is focused on special educational needs with over 150 stands where parents, teachers, SENCOs, speech & language therapists and support staff can find resources.
