Sue White – Head of Education, Widgit
Sue joined the Widgit team in January 2018 having previously been an Advisory Teacher with the Communication, Learning and Autism Support Service (CLASS) in East Sussex for over 16 years working with children from 3 – 19 years of age. Sue was also a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator in an East Sussex Primary School for many years and has always been an avid user and supporter of Widgit Symbols and software.
Alex J – Makaton user and Makaton Ambassador, The Makaton Charity
Alex has been using Makaton and Widgit programmes for over 20 years, beginning with Writing with Symbols 2000 and incorporating Makaton symbols wherever possible. A lifelong Makaton user and now a qualified Makaton Tutor, Alex uses Makaton on a daily basis and is passionate about creating communication-friendly environments. With a particular interest in symbols, Alex is dedicated to exploring how they can support people in diverse and meaningful ways.
